This project was conceived as a means to broaden my current range of skills and utilise aspects of Unreal Engine I had not before. As I had yet to build a game using Unreal's "Top Down" template, and had no experience in creating one with a focus on strategy against a computer opponent. For this reason, I chose to build a simple prototype in the style of a classic Real Time Strategy game.
The aim is to destroy the opponent's main (those in either corner of the map) base using knight units, which can be bought by interacting with a base they control. They can also place secondary bases which serve the same function as a main base, but will not end the game when destroyed, but award currency to the player who destroyed them.
